TOTAL OIL AUSTRALIA TEAMS UP AGAIN WITH SUPERCARS,

OFFICIAL LUBRICANTS PARTNER OF THE NTI TOWNSVILLE SUPERSPRINT

Total Oil Australia has continued its involvement with Australian motorsport securing an exclusive sponsorship of highly anticipated Supercars event, the NTI Townsville Supersprint.

Since the first event hosted in 2008, The Townsville annual event has firmly established itself as one of the marque events in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. The Townsville event is the largest event of any kind held in far North Queensland, and as one of Queensland’s premier annual sporting events it enjoys a strong nationwide following.

As official lubricants partner of the first leg of the Townsville Supercars double-header, Total will take ownership of the second corner of the exciting Reid Park street circuit, which will be known as Total Lubricants corner.

Total Lubricants corner is arguably the most exciting section of the track – particularly on the opening lap. It boasts the fastest approach to any of the circuit’s 13 turns, and is one of only a few genuine overtaking places, ensuring there is action on just about every lap.

Having sponsored last year’s Supercars Vodafone Gold Coast 600, the sponsorship is an important one for Total given its business interests and investments in North Queensland.

Total Lubricants receives naming rights to the corner, signage on both sides of the concrete barriers at this turn, as well as a track painted logo on the inside apex of the corner.

The event will also see Total promote one of its key products, TOTAL QUARTZ. This is a range of high-performance engine oils that offer minimal friction and wear, increased fuel economy, excellent cold start properties and extended oil change intervals, saving the customer money in the long run.

With the only street circuit on the revised 2020 calendar, the competition and rivalries will be fierce when Supercars hits the track at Reid Park. This event is one not to be missed!

The NTI Townsville Supersprint is being held on the weekend of August 29 and 30.
